On Tuesday night (yes - Wednesday morning was awful) I went to see
Afrojack at The Music Box Hollywood. After being a bit disappointed by his new year's set at TAO, I had low expectations. Perhaps that is why I was so blown away this time around!
Nervo (a badass female duo made up of Australian twins) prepped the crowd with some crazy electro tracks but when Afrojack came up to bat the crowd seemed to double in size.
Opening with sick remixes of Bangduck then Bounce Little Kitty, he went on to play EVERYTHING an Afrojack fan could dream, including: Polka Dots, Take Over Control, Spencer and Hill's Cool, Duck Sauce's Barbra Streisand, Martin Solveig and Dragonette's Hello, Angello's Knas, Guetta and Rhianna's Who's That Chick, and much more!! He even took breaks to chug vodka right out of the Grey Goose bottle - now that's my boy. Totally satisfied with his stage presence and stellar set, Afrojack is right back to being one of my top favorite DJs.
